Why Set Up Containment | Kalispell Mold Removal Techniques
Containment is set in a space to prevent mold spores (which are invisible to the naked eye, by the way) from spreading to different areas of an affected building during the mold remediation process.
There are many different ways to accomplish this. The primary is to completely isolate the area and have negative air pressure set up to pull air from the space, filtered by a HEPA filter.
Other ways include closing doors and taping the seams to prevent the mold from escaping. A preferred barrier is actually just sheets of plastic similar to what a painter or a carpenter would use to prevent dust spreading.
Make sure any contractor you use understands the principles involved in setting up an adequate containment.
